PAST PROJECTS

Investor Communications Services has worked on the following securities disclosure documents:
  • Proxy statements, including the Compensation Discussion & Analysis section, for a financial services company, a global reinsurance company, and a company that produces and transports natural gas;

  • Earnings releases and periodic reports for a community bank holding company and a manufacturing firm;

  • Prospectuses for two prominent families of mutual funds;

  • Some or all of the Annual Report on Form 10-K for companies in the pharmaceuticals, financial services, information technologies, telecommunications, and higher education industries;

  • The proxy statement and the financial portions (MD&A and Notes to Financial Statements) of several annual reports for one of the country’s largest insurance companies, as well as a guide to help the company’s employee shareholders understand those documents; and

  • The annual report to shareholders for an industrial finance and leasing company.
Often a company will engage Investor Communications Services to draft a document, and then return each reporting period for writing and editing help to ensure that updates and revisions maintain the same clarity and tone.

For clients other than public companies, my work has included:
  • Creating marketing materials for an international partnership of merger & acquisition consulting firms;

  • Drafting an opinion letter regarding disclosure issues for plaintiffs’ counsel in a case litigated in the Superior Court of New Jersey;

  • Serving as managing editor of Wall Street Lawyer, a monthly securities law newsletter;

  • Managing the content of RealCorporateLawyer.com, a (now defunct) RR Donnelley website designed for corporate and securities lawyers;

  • Creating two interactive training courses for a company that provides online educational programs for employees in the financial services industry;

  • Editing articles for submission to business publications;

  • And even editing application essays for prospective college students!
